Putting Your Garden to Bed

by Janet Johnson

Following these tips and tricks can help protect your trees and shrubs from heavy snow, wind, wildlife and other rough elements!

🔸Bring vulnerable plants indoors
🔸Wrap trees and shrubs in burlap or another protective layer to avoid deer and rodents munching on plants
🔸Stake new trees or shrubs that haven't developed strong root systems
🔸Apply a thick layer of mulch around your plants as an insulating layer

Our friends at Heber Valley Hardware will have your stakes, burlap, and materials you will need to winterize your landscape. Be sure to pay them a visit!

If you have questions or need safeguarding material stop by Country Gardens and Nursery. We'll make sure your plants are protected this winter!
